MEHEM (Music Education Hubs East Midlands) is committed to ensuring that its website is accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to provide an inclusive online experience that enables all visitors to access information, use our services, and engage with our work, regardless of ability or technology.

We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard wherever possible. We regularly review our website to improve usability and accessibility, and we use tools such as the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and fix issues.

What we are doing

To support accessibility, our website includes—or is in the process of including—the following features:

  • Clear and consistent content structure

  • Text alternatives for images where appropriate

  • Sufficient colour contrast

  • Keyboard-navigable menus and pages

  • Descriptive links and accessible labels

  • Responsive layouts suitable for different devices

  • Avoidance of flashing or distracting content

 

We continue to update and improve the accessibility of our site as part of our ongoing commitment.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may not yet be fully accessible. These may include:

  • Older PDF or downloadable documents

  • Third-party embedded content (e.g., videos, event feeds or forms)

  • Pages or elements that are still under development
