UpRising Special School Network – Spring
Tuesday 10 March, 3.30-4.45pm, online
Christopher Davies from Bamboozle will share how their approach uses behavioural and linguistic strategies to enable children to explore freely, make decisions, and find their own voice. This methodology informs the three main strands of their work: enabling actors to connect with audiences during performances, supporting parents and children during family residencies, and training school staff through their Education programme.
The Special School Network is an online space dedicated to supporting those teaching music in specialist settings and alternative provision across the East Midlands. We aim to equip teachers with the tools and knowledge to excel in the practical teaching of inclusive music-making, making these sessions suitable for Specialist Music Leads, SENDcos, SLT, and classroom teachers in both specialist and mainstream schools.

Each session brings together practitioners from mainstream and specialist settings, offering a platform to ask questions, share challenges, support colleagues and discover new ideas and resources to enhance your inclusive music-making delivery.
All are welcome to share their experiences – no question or topic is too basic, and no challenge too complex.
